Our stack provides comprehensive coverage of DVB requirements for modern TV platforms, including SI/PSI parsing, advanced channel scanning and playback and user features such as Teletext, DVB Subtitles and Closed Captions. It integrates with our CI+ and HbbTV/OpApp solutions to deliver a complete solution for European markets. We provide software development and integration services to deliver production-ready DVB and DVB-I deployments.

Our CI+ middleware enables access to protected broadcast services and operator profiles. It supports the latest CI+ requirements, including CI+ 1.4 with Enhanced Content Protection (ECP) for UHD/4K content and CI+ 2.0 for USB-based CAMs. The solution is deployed in millions of devices, with multiple recent products achieving official certification. We provide integration services covering platform and Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) integration, together with testing and certification support for Android, RDK and Linux CI+ devices.

Our HbbTV browser supports the latest specifications, including HbbTV 2.0.4 and OpApp, and is designed to support applications built on these standards, such as Freely. We provide production-ready HbbTV browsers based on the Open Red Button (ORB) project, suitable for Android, RDK and Linux. Alternatively, we can add HbbTV to existing browser stacks, supplying the additional modules and browser patches required for ORB deployment, including DRM and OpApp functionality.
DVB-I
Ocean Blue Software supports DVB-I, the DVB standard for IP-based service discovery and delivery. Our DVB-I implementation integrates with the DVB middleware stack, enabling hybrid broadcast-broadband service discovery and playback across terrestrial, satellite, cable and IP networks.
We also provide the DVB-I Inspector tool for analysing and debugging DVB-I service lists.
