Sunrise DVB

Sunrise is Ocean Blue's DVB (digital video broadcast) family of software products offering Free To Air (FTA) or Pay-Per-View (PPV) functionality; comprising all the components needed to provide clients with digital TV and audio on a set top box or television.

The new Sunrise software suite supports DVB-S, DVB-T and DVB-C digital TV (either in isolation or as a combination) plus analogue TV. PPV conditional access (CA) systems and a common interface (CI) for plug-in media cards are also supported.

Support for Analogue and Digital Broadcasts

Consumer electronics vendors have previously required two software products on board; one for digital and one for analogue. This slowed development time and could provide a clumsy user interface.

With Ocean Blue's Sunrise, channel tuning for analogue and digital is accomplished through the same user interface, giving consumers a common look and feel across multiple broadcast mediums. It will also assist the consumer with an easy dual set up process for IDTVs (Integrated Digital TVs) via one single user interface.

The multi-mode software is based on Ocean Blue's Sunrise product and includes Sunrise (DVB-T, C and S), additional software plug-ins are Surfsoft PVR (Freeview+ compatible) and Voyager MHEG-5 and DSM-CC middleware software.

High Definition (HD) Support

Sunrise provides comprehensive support for music, video, TV, High Definition TV MPEG-4 H.264, images, text and the data necessary for both hybrid IPTV and HD receivers. It also provides support for conditional access and pay-per-view security systems.

The Sunrise application programming interface (API) can be supplied in source code form to allow customers to quickly and easily integrate their own software system.

Sunrise has been developed to DTG D-book standards.
